OFTP2

Hello,

this is the timezone settings for the user which starts the oftp2 server:

therefore TZ='Europe/Berlin' will be used.
Selected time is now: Sun Jun 8 00:29:35 CEST 2025.
Universal Time is now: Sat Jun 7 22:29:35 UTC 2025.

All scripts in pre/post processing are using CEST, but the oftp2 server is using UTC.
This produces errors in the two hours, when the data is different.

How to start the server using CEST?

Hello,

when trying to change base directory for messages, the connection between local client and server is disconnected after about 20 seconds. As this is the community version, I can't reconnect to the server. So I have to restart the server. Next time the same.
So how can I configure the directory?

Hi, I see that it's possible to define an "Additional local identity" in the partner list, in addition to the normal one we have defined.

The only way I see that this can be used though is when *sending* messages to partners (if I do a manual send from the File menu, I can see that I can choose either the normal one or the additional one, and I think I can setup the same in directory polling for automatic outbound messages).

For the life of me I cannot find where/what is preventing the GUI from connecting to the server (localhost, port 1236) .
I'm sitting on the server in an X11 environment, I can tcpdump and watch them trying, I can connect to localhost 1236 using telnet (hence no firewall, correct?).

It must be some Java runtime "security" check, that prevents the connection on ORACLE Linux 8.10, anybody fixed this ? How ?

On ORACLE Linux 7.9 it work flawlessly. (OFTP2 1.0 build 41, openJDK 11.0.25)

Hello all,

the mendelson oftp2.exe always complaints that I should alter the configuration to add minimum heapsize of 4096M.

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out, how to do that.
I set the Windows environment veriable JAVA_OPTS to -Xms4096m -Xmx16384m

But it had no influence on the oftp2.exe

Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated.
