I'm setting up a new OFTP2 connection.
Partner cannot connect, he gets an "Invalid password".
My log follows in next post (confidential info removed)
please see attached log file file
you receive an ESID command from your partner that says that you are sending the wrong password. Try the other one, the RFC is not fully clear at this point as there is only mentioned a "Senders password" and a "Receivers password" - there is no hint which of the passwords should be sent and which one should be expected.
A trading partner of a mendelson OFTP2 will not receive this as we do not check this password, this is no security feature as its length is 8 and it may contain capital letters only.
tried the other one and connection was successful.
Thank You for your help!
i am also facing this issue, i have installed the opensource ver of OFTP client, and i am not able to find from where the password for client is set. The routing tab is disabled for the client ( same is enabled when i setup the partner). when setting up the partner, i am not setting up any password.
When you said above to use other one , what exactly does that means?
